Check Valve for Helium Sparging Line

  • Prevents backflow of liquids
  • Fits 1/16" or 1/8" OD tubing

Low pressure check valves are a simple and inexpensive way to prevent backflow from the solvent reservoir into the sparging line. When a helium supply is switched off, helium gas will diffuse through the tubing wall, allowing the solvent to be sucked into the sparging line. A check valve located just outside the bottle protects the gas line components such as regulators and valves from any liquid, and also eliminates cross-contamination of the mobile phase reservoir.
