VICI Mininert® Valves for Vials

VICI Mininert valves for vials are the ideal closures for glass vials in which reference materials, calibration standards, or other volatile liquids are stored. With its unique design, the liquid only comes in touch with inert parts. Operation is extremely simple – push the green button, insert the needle through the septum to take a sample, withdraw the needle, and push the red button.

The screw-cap Mininert is available in 13, 15, 18, 20, and 24 mm cap sizes. The crimp-top valve for 13 mm ID glassware slides into the neck of the vial and features a threaded flange which is turned to provide a leak tight fit.

Special note: Mininert valves have been used as high as 8 bar (120 psi) without leakage, but this is NOT a recommendation for pressurizing glass containers to these levels. Such pressurizing of glass containers can be extremely dangerous.
